Woodford

Just wanted to check if anyone wants to share cars/ logistics for Woodford (ps I know a great lunch spot...)

Margaret and I did Mosman Reversed last Friday - what a great run - lots of stairs, ocean views and coffee places (you will be so proud of us as we didn't stop for coffee or a swim).

I am doing the Melbourne Half this Sunday so have a great run

Good luck Denise for your Half in Melbourne!

Glenbrook is booked and I was speaking with Paula yesterday. The idea was that we'll be leaving from my place early in the morning to head to the Blue Mts.

I'm keen to carpool too!

Leonor's offer to be our meeting point is (I think) a good one. So count me in on that.

And Ghost Rider for Sunday in Melbourne. I'm sure it will flat and fast for you. Enjoy!

Have a good run Denise. I'm registered but its logistically too difficult this weekend.

Sean and I aren't going to do the cross country since its so close to the Gold Coast.

Hi guys

Just got my Woodford info in the mail. Runners start at 9.45 and need to register at 9.15.
What do you think about catching the train up from Glenbrook - then we run down to the car (sort of!).

I drive regualarly up the mountains - in peak hour Woodford is about 1 1/2 hours from my place - Glenbrook about 40 minutes from Leonor's at 6 am!

So my logistics suggest
6am Eastwood
7am Glenbrook
8 am Woodford (train ride is about 20 minutes?)

Hi Crew,
It's so good to see you all sticking together and challenging yourselves at these various venues and events. I'm extremely jealous, however I'll be back from the next 10km onwards hopefully but in the meantime I wish you all the best of luck, good weather and green lights for melbourne, glenbrook, surfers and london etc,
Regards Ted

Hi Ted - so good to hear from you. Congrats on your recovery. Looking forward to be running with you soon. There's still so much I need to learn ... and all the things to discuss whilst running ...

Until then take care and thanks for your message, it's so good to hear you are soon back :)

Glad to know you're coming back Ted!

Sean and I did our pre-marathon 35k run last Sunday with Phil. It was a H4 and tough, but we made it, so we're looking good for GC. Hopefully 42.2 flat wont be any worse than 35 H4.

See you at the Rocks Push Sunday.

With Glenbrook, apparently the trian timetables needs to be taken into account when arranging travel.

Hi guys
I feel a long way away over here in the UK! It's good to know everyone is going well, enjoy Woodford and all the other runs in the meantime.
I have had three really nice 10k runs since I've been away. I'm reluctant to take to the road down here in Wales, they are so narow!
I'll be back in town for the first weekend in July, as the snow hasn't happened so I don't think we will be skiing unless there's a miracle. I might try the Homebush 10k.
That's great to hear you're on the mend Ted, and same to you Bruce. If you can do a hilly 35k, you are absolutely rock solid for a flat 42! You go boy!
See you all soon
happy running
Margaret

Hi Margaret,

Hope your having a lovely time in Wales. You do have to watch out running on Welsh Rds. They are very narrow and winding, and with the valley's keeping the noise in its easy to round a bend and run straight into a full mens choir coming the other way.

Look forward to seeing you back.

Hey Bruce
I was hoping to run into a full men's choir but all I got was a bunch of black-faced sheep!
I've been busy carb loading with my Dad, but not doing too much running. Now I'm home I'm back at it. I did a rough 10k this evening that reminded me just how fast you can loose all the benefit of hard work.
So good luck to you and Sean for the Marathon on Sunday, and to anyone else up there for the full or the half...that means you Denise, I think! I can't believe you're all racing again so soon! I take my hat off to you. Come Comrades I'll have my rubber band at the ready.
I paid my deposit for London 2009 yesterday. I know Denise is going. Is anyone else tempted? It will be a lot of fun I'm sure...freezing our arses off. Ted has warned us!
