But yeah, perfect conditions for a run in the bush with your buddies. It was more rugged than I'd expected and I had to walk up so many of the hills in the first section, which was a shame. Saw plenty of turned ankles and cuts too, which goes to show that it's certainly no walk in the park the W2G, so well done everyone on finishing.
Oh, and a massive thank you for everyone who looked after me, when I had my 'little moment' at the end. I can't remember who helped me, but thank you. That can of coke certainly hit the spot too Leonor, thank you. But yeah, nothing to worry about, it's just typical Lee being a drama queen as per normal.
Hope everyone's legs come right over the next week an good luck to those of you running next weekend on The Gold Coast.
Lee :o)

What a rocky road today!! At least I know what a fire trail is now - interesting running experience.
Lee, glad to see you recovered ok after your run - boy oh boy you scared me when you nearly fainted away ... Are you sure you walked some of those hills ?!
It was really nice to have the support of all of you and yep to see our friend Sharyn back - welcome back!
My heart goes out to you Denise and hopefully you recover soon. (Lee mentioned to consider to sue that speedy courier with no lights on his bike in the dark ...)
Thanks for the cheers Bruce and your support - very kind to make all the way to the Mountains - a true friend.
Paula - lunch was delicious and I could have eaten more bananas on the way to the cafe ...
Good luck Everyone for the Gold Coast Marathon - GO STRIDERS!!
Hi Everyone
I am glad you had a good day. Unusually for me I listened to my husband's advice not to run and as consellation for missing a day with you all, the Wilsons had a great bike ride and went to Climb Fit (indoor rock climbing). Not a courier in sight all day..
I am feeling ok now but very bruised down my left side. And of course the worse bit about Friday night was I missed the best part of my run around the Opera House!
But if you are running at night, take extra care. I wasn't using my ipod (for once) and was wearing white but I now will keep a better eye out too...
