I reckon I've harboured a Marathon dream for at least 15 years. But that stuff is for real runners not people like me whose bodies were built (I think) for water bouyancy and have messy unpredictable lives and left legs with DVTs. Yet somehow there is a marathon finisher's medal hanging around my bed post........
It's only now looking back at the pictures that I am starting to appreicate just how bl**dy determined we all were. Look at the four faces below - we mean business!
I am so looking forward to our run on Sunday. I feel really good today - wandering through Canberra's museums on Monday really helped (although was a bit tough towards the end on Monday!). See you all Sunday!

Its a marathon runners fashion parade, with our selection of lovely models displaying the new range of perseverence, determination, stylish running hats and matching green outfits.
Paula, your family definitely deserve the spectators award. They appeared so often around the course in Canberra I thought I was hallucinating! Pass on a big thank you to them, the support was most welcome over the ks. And they took photos!! Brilliant!
I am still in a state of disbelief too Paula. Like you say, you have an image of the type of person that runs marathons and it seems like an alien being....until you realize you have run one yourself. It is a very sweet feeling and...
I LOVE MY MEDAL
Great pictures, Paula. One thing which keeps coming back to my mind is seeing one of your sons, I think it was the oldest, when he was imitating a runner, swinging his arms and kept saying:"Run run run run!" He was so funny - so refreshingly honest and a real inspiration (and this whilst Tom had one holding his knee, the other one on his arm and I do not know how he managed to take all the photos ...) - Thank you to all the McCormack Family :)
