Sunday 24 February

Here's a snap from our beautiful city run. That's the QE2 in the background!
Pictured are, L to R, Bruce, Margaret, Denise, Sean (Bruce's PT who was our VIP guest for the run) and Ted B. Paula is at the front
Bruce - I really enjoyed the run today. Thanks for the hosting skills. As the mother of young children I should have taken that map of loos for future reference. I'll certainly bookmark that website!
Sean - if you're reading this, thanks for the stretching tips. I did a couple more here at home - OUCH!
Have a nice week, and c u all for the Balmain Bungle on the 2nd.

Good on Sharyn and Leonor for the great runs today. We also had a great time and did nearly the same pace as you !

Thanks so much for posting the photo Paula - we must get one of all of us running along so we can enter it into the running magazine categories.

You look all terrific. I love those early morning photos - full of energy to conquer a new long run...
Well done, Guys!

Bruce did that Garmin of yours smile at you all the way yesterday? ... I'm sure you were the happiest runner of the Fab Five and Friends yesterday :)

Thanks for putting up the photo Paula, it was a lovely morning to be up early in a great city. It's that experience that makes me hang in there for the big one come April 13. Thanks also to the extras we had along, youth and experience, aka Sean and Ted. It was great to run with you guys. And I think Ted managed to talk at least some of us into the 10k on Saturday.
Happy running
Margaret

Hi all.

I came home Sunday rededicated to this Marathon and to the long run.

It was such an enjoyable morning. Great company, beautiful city, big boats, people running around us, people calling out "Ghost Rider"!

I remember when a good 20+km run was one that was over, but yesterday was an absolute pleasure.

I have to admit Leonor that the new Garmin did add to the pleasure of the run, but it wasn't what made the day.

We can do this hosting thing no worries. Are we listed for a particular date and run yet?

I think we should distribute that public toilets and their opening hours website as widely as we can for Map Makers - I think that getting to a toilet on the map and finding it isn't open Sunday AM is worse than not finding one at all.

I thought I would run the 10k race next week. Its the flatest fastest course there is. This time I just have to make sure I don't go out so hard that I'm in trouble on the Sunday.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Hey Bruce, stick with me and there's not a chance that you'll go out too fast!
