OUCH OUCH OUCH

30.0km - We did it! And we even got the shot of Phil and all five us.

Phil - hope you don't mind but I've decided we're "Phil's Fab Five". That alliteration couldn't be missed - we are Striders after all!

Bruce - I hasten to add that, given your honour "fab friend" status, we shall ponder (while clocking those many training miles) an appropriate "F" name for you in our little group.

I'm off to collapse on the sofa (minus the wine glass this week)

Happy running!
Paula

Great photo. Its quite dark at 6am! Almost missed the run. One moment I was on the ground putting on my gear surrounded by 50 people. The next I was alone, except for the Host who was grabbing my bag and saying "run, run". Feels as if running very hard the first 2km to catch up made me run faster the whole way? What a difference from last week. "No rain - No pain". Looks like Phil's Fab Five, and Friends, are on track. I hope you are all in a lot less pain than I am today. Cheers

Paula - you're great! Thanks for taking the picture yesteday. Phil's Fab Five - how funny, I can't stop laughing you hit the nail on the head with the new title.
I managed to go to see the Artexpress with Peter in the afternoon, but was mostly hobbling.
Thanks for all your support everyone - it's wonderful to be with you.
See you Sunday at the Sydney Marathon Clinic race for an easy
25k run.

I agree, a good photo Paula! Good to see the night-owls out and about at 6am on a Sunday morning.
Isn't it a great hurt today? I had a leg massage yesterday and feel a bit better today, but it still doesn't help the knees and ankles.
Well done Fab 5 on a terrific 30kms yesterday.
I'm very proud of you!! And you of course, Bruce.

I think I've been asleep with my eyes open ever since. Exhausted by that effort. Still, I do remember when 20km used to do that too.A few more 30kms under the belt and the big one may seem achieveable.
