Here's a pic from the 25km we did at Hornsby on Sunday 27 January.
Wow was that hard work for me. Thank goodness we got lost around the 14km mark and and had to make up the rest of the run on the road. This was my longest run EVER and boy are the quads complaining about it today.
Another 10km tomorrow and then 14km on Wednesday. uuuuuugggggghhhhhhhhh!! Oh well... that will give me plenty of time on the treadmill to do the mental calculations of how many calories I've burnt and so how many TNCC snakes I can eat!

Great photo -thanks. What a mountain trek! Just finished Tuesday 10km. Legs very heavy today but not too sore. I think we just stepped it up to a new level. Unchartered waters from now on:)

I am looking forward to running with you this week. The only hill I found in London was the odd cobblestone street..
Having looked at the runs planned over the next few weeks, I remember last time that stepping up to 30 and 35 kms was a stretch and I wasn't that enthusiastic about doing anything after the run . As I am sure the cleaning fairy and the childminding fairy doens't live at your place either, make sure you have a really big supply of snakes for Sunday afternoons...
Thanks for the lovely photo, Paula. What a hike, yes indeed ... I could hardly believe I'd be able to run a 14k soon after our Sunday run, but I made it (with heavy heavy legs)
What a journey training for a marathon
Take care
I am so apprehensive about the 25k run tomorrow! At the moment I feel way behind you guys. I've had really patchy training over the last few weeks and a sore muscle behind my knee...boo hoo. I hope you can keep us entertained with some great travel stories Denise so I can get through the pain of a 25k run. It will be my first! I'm off to wash my Striders singlet. At least I'll look the part!
