Photo

Hi Everyone,

I have found the (never previously used) usb for my phone to PC and now just need to figure out how to get the picture from the camera to PC. Never mind improving my running skills, my e-communication skills are getting an overhaul!

Keep tuned.

and this is my little family ...

Thaks Sharyn - that website is way cool! I can see far too many hours being wasted there!

I've just plotted my little local run all ready for me to hit the road early tomorrow morning. And I now know that particular little run is 8.5km - perfect for the programmed run of 8km.

Boy am I happy it's a rest day today. However, the legs did cope okay yesterday. The mileage is definitely helping. I must confess the idea of two treadmills runs in a row is very depressing.

I'm sure that as the training promgramme progresses and the required time on the treadmill increases it will come to a point where no-one will come near me at the gym for fear I'll talk their heads off.

Have a good day! Paula

I found this site which may be useful in measuring local runs. I had fun on it anyway

Hi Guys,

Lovely children. I will attempt to put one of mine on. Otherwise will do so when the brains trust gets home.

I had a good 10km at 6am. Hardest thing is getting up that early but once out the door the legs go into automatic which is nice.

Kids photo is from euro disneyland in september.

Off to Oz tag and basketball now - mum's taxi is in full swing.

Oh Denise! They're both so cute, and I so love that they finished the Marathon with you - an ultra special thing to do with your kids.

Now down to business - I did the required 10 on the treadmill today. I have to confess that I really do feel stronger for the miles we're putting in.

I'd run on Friday and Saturday as well as our fun scrabble through the Terrey Hills bush on Sunday. I then did a hard spin class yesterday. And despite all that, I was able to do a good 10k time (for me) today. In fact I think it was the second fastest treadmill 10km time I've done post-children. BTW, I did my fastest post-children treadmill 10km time just three weeks ago.

I hasten to add that I am not a masochist who will always load spin classes into the training programme. However, No. 2 son (Declan) has gymnastics on a Monday morning at the same centre as my gym. I'm not the type to just sit around for 45 minutes when there is a really good spin class on offer, so....

Fortunately Declan will go to Preschool on Mondays next year - so I will completely rest on Mondays then.

Must confess I am nervous about how the legs will go tomorrow with the Wednesday run loaded on for the first time.
I'll let you know (courtesy of this blog!)
